Memorial Day Weekend:
Came home to hang out with my mother Spent the weekend buying things for my little, since Initiation is next Sunday. I love my little, but my God, they are expensive. Went to Factory Tea Bar for the first time with Tiffany and Jenny! The condensed milk with Milo brick toast was delicious. My mother made fish and Vietnamese crab for dinner! SO. GOOD.

DONE WITH MIDTERMS.
I just took my last midterm of the 2011-12 school year. I suppose it should be bittersweet, considering this means I’m halfway done with my midterm-taking career, but I’m just glad it’s over. This midterm stressed me out; I haven’t had such poor sleeping habits in a while.  I’m spending the rest of the day being crafty, which means making my paddle, making things...

Terrible Tuesday:
Laid off from work due to the lab not having enough funds for work study. The only research job hiring during the summer is a pulmonary disease lab assistant job that pays half of what I got paid before. I’m not sure if I should apply, since my old lab said they’d keep my file open so that if they get more money, they can rehire me. So. Screwed. For. Biochem. That is all. My best...

This weekend:
Coached Gamma Phi at Phi Rho Your Boat—they actually won! I wasn’t super effective as a coach, but when your team is a team of 20 beautiful, blonde girls who are all taller than you, you kind of figure they’ll figure it out eventually, because you know they probably won’t pay attention to you anyways. Got my butt kicked at Phi Delt’s dodgeball philanthropy. I can...

I can officially cross one thing off my bucket...
Saw a partial solar eclipse today! Didn’t purchase actual viewing equipment, so I had to bum off of other people, but it was cool nonetheless. Not nearly as impressive as I thought it was going to be, but YOLO.

Did a cartwheel on the beam today and stayed on!
Granted, it was on the low beam, but I’ll take whatever progress I can get. I’m inherently afraid of heights, so the minute I get onto the high beam, I’m just like, “Oh, shit, I’m four feet off the ground. On a plank of wood that’s slightly wider than one of my feet. OH SHIT.” And then I lock up and can’t do anything. Also, guess which genius was...

1st Baseball Game!
Attended my first baseball game tonight, Dodgers vs. Giants. Our seats were super out in the field, so we couldn’t see much. As a result, I don’t understand what the fuss is with baseball. Frankly, I still like basketball more.
